True Love Endures

Blood is thicker than water.
But you pushed me away

I sprung from my hurt
Forgave you
Learned again to smile

As much as I loved you.

Years passed.
Not much changed.
The hurts came
Again and again
And again I forgave.
But you still forgot me -- the truest friend you'd ever have.
You forgot me in your biggest day.
It hurt. I tried to "stuck it up"
But I cried, then wiped my eyes dry
Learned again to smile
By remembering that true love endures all things.
